The begging

Couldn't sleep. Woke up ar 2:15. Tossed for 1 hour. 0*C outside. Arrived at airport at 4. Talked to WestJet to fix an issue that was expected in Toronto. Flight delayed 15 minutes. I am glad they were able to fix the flight issue here. That would have gave me about 1.5 hours to go to the kiosk and go back through security. Not a lot of time. Plane configurarion 2-2 isle seat.

-landed in Toronto with 1.5 hours to find the gate. Spent an hour on hold with the ticket booking company because I can’t access my account. They said call someone else and disconnected. In the last 12 hours, that is the fifth time someone said call some else, not their problem. It looks like someone checked me in beyond Vancouver. But I didn't, and I can't access the website or anything associated with it like choose a seat.... I later found out it was the halifax desk. Plane configuration to Vancouver 3-3 middle seat.

Long red eye flight to Taiwan. I tried to sleep as much as possible. Met a guy who goes to Vietnam to sail every year. Plane config 3-4-3. Middle seat near windows

After the long flight i got off in Taiwan. There was a short layover so I just found my connecting flight and went straight there. It was a little cloudy so I couldn't see the city. Maybe I was facing the wrong direction, not sure. But I couldn't see much from the departing gate.

I got on my connecting flight without a hitch. I flew the final leg of the flight. Plane configurarion 3-3 window seat. A woman had too many bags with her so she decided to share a little of my legroom.

I got to vietnam and the standing line into immigration was very long. It was moving, but there must have been 4 or 5 planes disembarking at the same time. I would guess it is the longest line I have ever been in. Maybe a 1000 people.

I got to the desk without speaking a word of the local language but they let me though without any fuss. The paperwork i filed must have been correct. I asked a question, the officer laughed and waved me on.

Well, here I was. In Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. 40 hours of travel, a bag over my shoulder, and very little sleep.

(You can easily tell I wrote the first part in point form on the plane to Taiwan. I am not going to bother fixing it… for now.😁)
